WHAT IS SELF-DOUBT ??




DEFINITION: Self-doubt is a feeling of having NO CONFIDENCE in your abilities and decisions.

Everyone lacks confidence now and then, but people with low self-esteem wind in constant self-doubt and suffer with unhappiness and are constantly unsatisfied with themselves.


ROOT CAUSES OF SELF-DOUBT; 

1. Unhappy childhood where both parents were constantly critical on the child ( especially children of teachers).

2. People with any sort of mental illness tend to suffer with self-doubt.

3. Low academic performance in school.

4. Any physical illness, with constant pain or suffering.

5. Any traumatic experience in life and rejection in life.

6. Overthinking and fear 


STRATEGIES TO OVERCOME SELF-DOUBT: 

1. Practice self-compassion

2. Spend time with people  who support you irrespective of your wins and failures.

3. Stop comparing yourself with others.

4. Create healthy boundaries and stay away from toxic people.

5. Rewrite your past achievements.

6. Be your own cheer leader.

7. Invest time to heal yourself,  JOURNAL, MEDITATE, BREATHING EXERCISES, AND PRACTICE MINDFULNESS.

8. Seek professional help and recover into a confident person, you deserve to be confident. No one is perfect, each and everyone in this world have their own problems, and have their own INSECURITIES, so never thiNK THAT YOU ARE inferior to anyone.

9. Start with serving others in need, enact acts of KINDNESS, when you help others it gives you an immense sense of positive energy, which will thus boost your confidence.

10. Start fresh, create a set of NEW GOALS and work towards achieving them, and celebrate each and every small win.
